Department Within the department of Americas & Europe Specialty , Sabic is now hiring a Global Marketing Manager -Solar, within Europe. The Challenge The Solar Industry is projected to grow to $175B installed base in an environment of greater need for renewable energy driven by rising petroleum costs and rising greenhouse gas emissions. Given SABIC’s broad portfolio, application development expertise and global reach, there is an opportunity to grow our business in this industry beyond current applications. To develop and execute a strategy to do so, a global Advanced Marketing team is being established. This team will harness entrepreneurial spirit and technical savvy to bring SABIC’s 2020 vision for Solar business to reality. Develop and execute the global strategy to drive profitable growth for specialty resins in Solar. Understand emerging trends, regulatory requirements and competitive offerings. Explore, analyze and pursue the optimum route to market for Solar. Work closely with Country Leaders to develop and communicate long-term vision and strategy for assigned segments within country. Manage product positioning and MGPP for the Solar market within the Specialty SBU. Own the NPI and platform process for the introduction of novel new products within this segment to maximize ROI. Develop global fulfillment plan for assigned segments. Develop and manage Marketing Program Campaign assets, timelines, and budgets and communicate updates and objectives to stakeholders. Work closely with global sales teams, product managers, field teams and various stakeholders to communicate key marketing activities and campaigns. Work closely with GApT and Technology to generate the required application data to support the value proposition to sell effectively into the market. Your Profile Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong technical understanding of engineering thermoplastics, particularly within the Specialty portfolio Extensive field marketing and/or industry management experience with demonstrated ability to turn customer/industry needs into growth opportunities. Successful track record of developing and executing strategic product and/or marketing plans Strong ability to lead and deliver results within a matrixed global team environment. Creative, critical thinker. Develop a robust and effective process that engages this internal and external professional network to scout and share technology opportunities in the solar industry. Facilitate the incubation of high value ideas by working with internal and external stakeholders. Mature high value ideas from concept to commercially ready products and services. Facilitate Innovation of solutions for the solar industry by scoping new ideas and concepts to determine their feasibility and value. As appropriate, develop programs with universities, institutes, and industry partners to create solutions in the solar industry Work closely with Business Units and functions (Legal, Technology) to create a community of experts to understand emerging trends, regulatory requirements and competitive offerings in the solar industry As needed, support the evaluation of M&A and joint partnership opportunities relevant to Solar Your Profile Bachelors degrees in Polymer Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering, or other related field + 5 years product technology development with demonstrated ability to turn customer/industry needs into commercially successful products and services or other relevant experience Successful track record of developing and executing strategic product and/or marketing plans Strong technical understanding of thermoplastic materials and conversion processes Strong ability to lead and deliver results within a matrixed global team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills including a strong ability to influence change among peers and stakeholders. Entrepreneurial spirit Creative, yet critical thinker. Identify e-mobility applications requiring products with enhanced dielectric performance, as well as the key customers, suppliers and competitive offerings in each space. Initial Focus will be on capacitor dielectrics, traction motor insulation laminates, wire coatings and EMI solutions throughout the EV powertrain. Develop MGAP and MGPP for Dielectrics segment to drive on time New Product Introductions & New Technology Introductions that meet customer value propositions. Lead the validation and specification of key products and applications for the Global Dielectrics Segment with a thorough understanding of local customer needs and delivering required products and technologies. Assess and understand competitive landscape. In conjunction with field team strategically position SABIC-IP and develop a comprehensive strategy that positions SABIC for growth and success.
