EMEA Compensation Analyst Due to growth and the continuous development of the business there’s a need to fill this position. This position will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and maintenance of corporate compensation practices intended to attract, retain and motivate employees in multiple European countries. He or she will report to the Global Compensation Manager located in Auburn Hills, Michigan. This is a specialized Human Resource position in a dynamic growing multinational organization. The position requires the ability to work cohesively with an HR team located around the world. This is an opportunity for an individual to institute compensation practices which contribute to the development of a best-in-class multinational supply chain business. Job Description EMEA Compensation Analyst - The individual will be responsible for conducting market analysis and participating in select market surveys based on the needs of the organization and in alignment with the business’ structure and roles. - Research, prepare and analyze pay equity practices within designated region. Collect, evaluate and communicate feedback from HR colleagues and management regarding pay practices internally and externally. - Responsible for accuracy of employee compensation information within HRIS databases through interaction and coordination with HR colleagues. - Assist with collection of data for Customer Request for Quote (“RFQ”) working closely with Account Management team to ensure accurate and competitive offerings to customers. - Conduct job evaluations, working with committee, to determine key job requirements, activities and necessary skills. Utilize job evaluation findings to determine accurate and appropriate matches to market data. - Identify and understand details of Expatriate assignments in order to provide sound advice on compensation issues that might arise for the employee and the company. - Work interactively with management to provide assistance in the development, implementation and communication of compensation programs and policies within the designated region. - Conduct compensation practice compliance reviews as needed. - Review current job descriptions for accuracy to ensure usefulness in job title and pay assignment for recruiting purposes. - Be a subject matter resource for HR management in local and regional compensation-related matters with specific attention to labor laws and compensation practices. - Evaluate and advise on any impact of short term and long term planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action which might impact the employees of the corporation. - Assist the VP HR Europe in select initiatives and special projects where value can be added. Skills & Requirements EMEA Compensation Specialist - An experienced compensation professional with 3-4 years of experience at an analyst level in the appropriate industry. - Bachelors degree (BA) or equivalent or five+ years of experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of educational experience. Acquisition and integration experience is a plus. - Expertise working with MS Excel including advanced formulas and macros as well as strong, working knowledge of entire MS Office suite of applications. - Experience with HRIS and payroll systems. - A results-oriented, critical-thinking individual with sound technical skills, analytical ability, and strong organizational skills. - An intelligent and articulate individual who can communicate to people at various levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills. - Ability to work in a rapidly changing, fast paced environment and to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or concerns. - Ability to make effective and persuasive recommendations on compensation topics to HR management. - Fluent in English and a working knowledge of other languages including German, Dutch, and Spanish is considered a plus. - Willingness to travel.
