Abengoa Bioenergy Netherlands is looking for a Plant Engineer Role To help and support Operations Manager in efficient plant operation management by investigating, developing, communicating, facilitating and implementing operations objectives as established by company strategic business plan to ensure compliance with all internal and external policies and standards. Responsibilities and tasks Maintain daily production levels and review the daily log sheets for discrepancies. Evaluate problems and coordinate solutions in an professional manner. Monitor quality control data (shift tanks, cook and fermenter L.C.’s, distillation G.C.’s, solid/liquid separation and boiler operation) to ensure company standards and governmental compliances are met. Oversee appropriate wastewater treatment. Required Skills & Experience Production Planning Skills Understand basic chemistry involved in ethanol production, water and wastewater analysis, and wet laboratory functions. Troubleshoot complex inter-related process using a distributed control system and statistical process control Computer skills related to normal business use, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and additional skills in data management. Process control including software and hardware configuration and loop controls Fluid dynamics and control related to chemistry industry. • Heat transfer equipment operation and performance i.e.; Shell and Tube, Plate and Frame Heat Exchangers. Troubleshooting of rotating equipment, efficiency and operation i.e., pumps, compressors Excellent English. Dutch and Spanish preferable. Adaptability and flexibility to change Analytical ability Innovation and creativity Results-oriented Organization and planning Education: Master degree in chemical engineering degree. Other Specialized Knowledge: Chemical processing, grain handling and processing. Human resource management, including giving and receiving feedback, writing objective performance evaluations, and other related knowledge is helpful. Ability to train others in technical applications is required. Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in industrial processing field and minimum of 2 years management experience in related field.
