Beschrijving: Department The European Environment, Health, Safety & Security (EHSS) Team is one of four Regional EHSS Teams within SABIC’s Global EHSS Function. The European team has a range of responsibilities on behalf of SABIC and its European Sites, Business Units and Functions. In the European team there are three departments: Environment; Health & Safety and Process Safety and Security. The aim of the department Process Safety and Security is to provide leadership and expertise to ensure compliance with legal regulations, applicable international standards, SABIC requirements and the principles of Responsible Care and to stimulate continuous improvement of performance by developing and implementing effective policies and programs. Within this department we have a vacancy. The Challenge Provide expertise to support the development of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Security policies, standards and best practices for implementation in the European region. Support the implementation of actions and best practices for improvement. Assist with development, evaluation, monitoring and reporting of annual and long term PSM and Security performance metrics for the region. Coordinate the implementation of SABIC security standards within the region, and evaluate the actions to control the security risks. Actively participate in global subject expert networks to support the development and delivery of enhanced global standards for SABIC. Support PSM and Security auditing of regional and manufacturing sites with respect to PSM and Security implementation; measure performance and verify compliance with global SABIC policies and standards and applicable regulatory requirements, including Responsible Care. Provide support to regional sites where needed for permitting activities, incident investigation and operating reviews of critical security infrastructure/control systems to assess appropriate implementation of applicable SABIC security standards relative to the nature of the operations and the corresponding risk profile. Your Profile Technical degree (preferably master) in Chemical/Industrial Engineering and experience in relevant professional affiliations and certifications. Experience preferably several years within e.g. Site Improvements, Site EHSS or Maintenance. Good knowledge of SABIC Manufacturing processes and management systems. Experience, insight and a pragmatic approach in the management of diverse risks (e.g. process safety, security, business). Readiness for further qualification training in risk management and security issues. Ability to effectively monitor regulatory developments and industry trends. Strong quantitative & analytical skills. You have a strong drive to achieve objectives and with excellent influencing skills you are able to build commitment on several levels in the organization. You combine a strong perseverance with patience; build trust and show stress resistance; combine customer orientation with an independent view. The naphtha-crackers produce 1,250,000 ton/a of ethylene and 675,000 ton/a of propylene, mainly used as feedstock for our poly-olefins plants. Our naphtha-crackers have superior plant reliability and a competitive cost position. The maintenance and improvements efforts are crucial to ensure our future plant reliability as well a safe plant operation. From that perspective we are facing a challenge to prepare and implement numerous value-up and cost-down improvements in the next decade. Structure Site Geleen: For both the Polymers as well the Chemicals & Intermediates Cluster, a split is made in responsibilities for Operations (short term focus), Site Improvements (long-term focus) and Site Services. The latter has the responsibility in planning, scheduling and execution of projects, maintenance and turn-arounds. Operations has a responsibility for safe and maximum production.
