We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager /Senior Manager based at the Company’s HQ in Hong Kong. He/she will report to the a Vice President in charge of a business unit or Region. JOB DESCRIPTION The position of the Business Development Manager reports directly a Vice President responsible for one region based in Hong Kong The main task is to create profitable growth by leading the Business Development, Productizing, Product Management and Project Management activities for assigned market segments to product lines and to supervise project manager and project planners. Mayor responsibilities are: Business Development Assess RFQ (Request for Quotation) and project viability together with Sales and Engineering Pricing process management using the pricing tool Educate sales staff reference pricing, differentiation and right to win Track financial performance of segment (Revenue, BOM, Profit) Market research to identify market share, segmentation and QFD’s Create strategic plans to grow business with segment (DDP) Product Management Productizing process viability (step 1) with Engineering and Product Marketing Productizing product planning & DDP (step 2) with Productizing team, Sales and Marketing Productizing engineering project management (step 3) together with Engineering Product training to sales staff Product road map management New Product profitability tracking through launch (BOM%) Project Management Monitor RFQ and productizing project milestones Supervise project managers and project planners Track capex and tooling expense Coordinate project status with customer and sales staff Manage customer visits and agendas Manage corrective action to customer situations The salary package will be in a way to attract the right candidate. The expatriate contract includes Medical Care, Housing allowance and providence. An additional Bonus between 10 – 15% will come on top. The favourable tax situation in Hong Kong will increase the net income considerably. CANDIDATE PROFILE The candidate has a basic upper grade education in Engineering or has attended a higher commercial school (University Degree, Fachhochschule, etc.). He/she could have acquired the necessary knowledge through apprenticeship and a related working experience in the business sector. He/she has several years of experience in marketing and sales. The candidate should have a strong and convincing personality. He/she knows how technical products are presented in the market. Analytical and long term thinking are very important. Strong team player with the ability to liaise with people of different cultural background. Track record with a well known company.
