| Engineer Mechanical Instrumentation Electrical (manufacturing Talent Program) Beschrijving: Department: Improvements – Shared Resources Site Geleen The Site Geleen encompasses 7 plants, including 2 Naphtha crackers, a Logistics unit, a Polypropylene and 2 Polyethylene units. The Naphtha crackers produce 1,250,000 tonnes of ethylene and 675,000 tonnes of propylene which are mainly used as feedstock for the successive poly-olefins plants. Our polyethylene product range includes all of the commodity thermoplastic polymers, linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), low density polyethylene (LDPE), and high density polyethylene (HDPE). The polypropylene product range includes block copolymer and specialty automotive grades. Structure Site Geleen On the site we have a clear split between Running Business (short term) and Site Improvements (long term) Site Services supports all these departments. The Running Business is responsible for a safe and maximum production. Site Improvements is responsible for the right project proposals to improve the production process, including process integrity and safety, and for the implementation of the project proposals. The purpose of Site Services is to service all departments in an efficient; transparent and customer friendly way. The Site Management Team consists of the Site Director; Directors of Running Business; Site Improvements and Site Services. To enhance our workforce we are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Engineers from several disciplines (Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical, Advanced Process Control) for the departments Site Improvements and Running Business. Manufacturing Talent Program (MTP). Engineers with no or with limited work experience mainly start in our Manufacturing Talent Program. The goal of this program is to get acquainted with SABIC Europe, its culture and organization and to get ready for the “real” job. The Manufacturing Talent Program has a leadtime of 1.5 year and consists of two technical trainee periods, containing the following items: Training on the job and additional training and courses Doing two projects, one within olefins and one within poly-olefins Getting to know the SABIC Manufacturing organization & people (Running Business, Site Improvements and Site Services) Getting to know the several plants (different sizes, technologies, problems etc.) Getting to know the culture Getting challenged on your personal competences Running an experience event The Challenge Our Engineers Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical, Advanced Process Control are involved in maintenance and ongoing improvements of plant reliability and integrity. They organize and manage these projects independently and contract out the implementation to the Maintenance department or to contractors with whom we have a long-term relationships. Their main responsibilities are: to solve and troubleshooting technical problems to improve the production process regarding Capacity & Capability, Reliability & Availability and Integrity & Compliancy to formulate the technical policy regarding equipment Integrity and reliability in which installations can be operated to determine predictive & preventive maintenance plans for running business assets to set up and monitor the budget regarding predictive, preventive & break-down maintenance to set up and implement improvement projects within budget, on-time and in accordance to corporate and legal requirements to conduct investigations, route cause analyses and studies to support and advise the management in maintaining safety and integrity to stimulate and work together in multidisciplinary teams Your Profile You are finishing or have just finished your bachelor or master of science in mechanical engineering, applied physics, electrical engineering or advanced process control engineering You are a good communicator and you have well developed social skills You have excellent analytical skills, you can switch between conceptual and detailed level You show ownership and you are eager to reach the agreed results You are fluent in English and preferably also in Dutch, or you are willing to learn Dutch Further Information Please apply online before the 31st of Oktober 2011. | Maintenance Engineer Electrical Beschrijving: Department Site Geleen SABIC’s Geleen Site encompasses 7 chemical plants. The maintenance and improvements efforts are crucial to ensure our future plant reliability as well a safe plant operation. From that perspective we are facing a challenge to prepare and implement numerous value-up and cost-down improvements in the next decade. Structure Site Geleen For both the Polymers as well the Chemicals & Intermediates Cluster, a split is made in responsibilities for Operations (short term focus), Site Improvements (long-term focus) and Site Services. The latter has the responsibility in planning, scheduling and execution of projects, maintenance and turn-arounds. Operations has a responsibility for safe and maximum production. The Challenge As a Maintenance Engineer Electrical you act within different aspects of maintenance engineering. You are responsible to analyse & solve occurring electrical problems. You deliver risk-based scopes for Turn-Arounds, develop RCM-based maintenance strategies & plans mainly for preventive maintenance and participate in safety & improvement studies. Within the discipline Electrical you have the opportunity to apply your thorough knowledge of E-motors, high voltage switches, transformers, UPS, frequency controlled devices, EMC-units, rectifiers. You are able to perform FMEA and RCA’s in order to make informed decisions and opinions which will be documented with care. In addition, you can contribute to maintenance strategies based on RCM. You will also be actively involved in the analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of preventive maintenance through cost-killers, cost drivers and breakdowns. You're directly involved in the preparation and implementation of major maintenance overhauls. Your Profile B.Sc. or M.Sc.
