Assistant Controller Beschrijving: DSM Food Specialties (DFS) develops, produces, market ingredients and processing aids for the Dairy, Baking, Beverage, Cultures, Test & Preservation, Savoury and Nutritional Markets. As of January 1st, 2011 the Business Group will consist of the Business Units Enzymes Solutions, Cultures, Food & Crop Protection, Savoury Ingredients and Hydrocolloids, a Research and Development organization and a number of staff departments and excellence centers For the unit Business Information Management we are currently looking for a: Assistant Controller (F/M) (full-time) Delft The Challenge As Assistant Controller you operate in a small team of 3 colleagues which is responsible for the DFS reporting processes based on the DSM accounting and reporting principles. In compliance with the requirements from a BU, DFS and DSM perspective the reporting team consolidates, analyses and makes available to management all necessary financial information for business management purposes. Next to the monthly management reporting the assistant controller will be responsible for the cost control and budgeting of de BG overhead departments and be involved in all kind of projects. Keywords are timeliness, quality and a constant strive for efficiency, quality improvement and further development of the department and its tools. The Assistant Controller acts in a dynamic environment and maintains close contacts with the accounting departments, the control organization, the Corporate A&R department and many other stakeholders. The Assistant Controller assists in: Taking all necessary steps to be able to produce and publish the monthly, quarterly and yearly management reports to Corporate Accounting, Business Group management and Business Unit management within the deadlines set; Analyze the financial results for all BU's/PMC's and discuss the outcome with the relevant BU controller and the Financial Director or his substitute; Cost control and budgeting of the BG overhead departments; Developing and maintaining all necessary reporting tools, including Business Warehouse and spreadsheets; Translating new requirements from DSM NV or demands from DSM Food Specialties BV to new management reports and to guidelines for the local organizations; All kinds of projects in which finance & control knowledge is required. Qualifications The Ideal We are looking for professionals with a Master degree in the field of Finance & Control. You have excellent computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Your communication skills in Dutch and English are excellent. You are able to work under pressure.
