| Productieplanner Beschrijving: Onze opdrachtgever is een Europees distributiecentrum (40.000 m²), onderdeel van een Amerikaans beursgenoteerde multi level marketing organisatie gespecialiseerd in consumentenproducten met een wereldwijd netwerk. Het bedrijf kenmerkt zich door een internationale oriëntatie (pakketdistributie naar 15 landen), klantgerichte instelling en innovatieve bedrijfscultuur. De planner zal onderdeel uitmaken van de afdeling Order fulfillment. De (productie) planner draagt (in 2-ploegendienst) zorgt voor de (werk)voorbereiding, distributie en rapportage van de in het computersysteem aanwezige klantorders. Hij stelt daartoe de dagelijkse productieplanning op met optimale benutting van de beschikbare capaciteit. Knelpunten bij de uitvoering van de planning moeten worden opgelost. Voor de realisatie van de planning onderhoudt de planner contacten met supervisors binnen productie en logistiek (o.a. betreffende backorders en outbound). Doel van de functie is het zo vloeiend en efficiënt mogelijk laten verlopen van de productstroom in het warehouse, zodat de afgesproken leadtime gehaald wordt. | Graduation Internship Supply Chain Planning – Master Thesis Beschrijving: Department The Supply Chain Polymers department is responsible for planning, order handling, warehousing and distribution of around 3 Million ton of polymers in Europe. The Planning department takes care of long and short term planning, both in terms of demand, supply, inventory and transportation. The Challenge The main target of the research assignment is to develop a model which can be used for the optimal and safety stock calculations with the objective to create value across the supply chain. Within this challenge the following sub-questions have been defined: Improve the safety & optimal stock calculations ¬ How to deal with under- and over forecasting? ¬ What is the probability distribution to be used? Steer the decision making on inventory capacity planning ¬ How to link optimal silo/warehouse rent to the optimal stock calculations? ¬ How to decide on split fixed vs variable silo/warehouse rent? ¬ How to deal with stock rotations? Incorporate Service Level Differentiation to the optimal & safety stock calculations ¬ How to balance stocks with customer segments? ¬ Which grade mix and stock volumes should be used per segment?
